My name is Jordan Reese, but I'm also "The 702 Scout." Born and raised in Summerlin, Las Vegas has always been my home, and I’ve spent my life immersed in its vibrant sports culture. As a former multi-sport athlete, I’ve lived the highs and lows of prep sports firsthand, and now, I’m proud to be the trusted voice for Southern Nevada’s next generation of stars.
With a journalism degree in hand and a camera roll full of highlight tapes, I’ve carved out a unique role as a recruiting insider. I live for the thrill of breaking commitments before national outlets, uncovering under-the-radar talent, and advocating for local athletes to stay home and represent the 702. Whether I’m on the sidelines, in gyms, or deep in group chats with coaches and parents, I’m driven by a passion to protect and promote Vegas talent.
My writing style reflects my commitment to the community: hyper-local stories that spotlight rising stars, realistic takes on recruiting pipelines, and an advocate’s tone that fights for fairness in policies affecting club sport athletes. From Vegas high school football to basketball recruiting, Olympic sports, and the evolving NIL landscape, I specialize in shining a light on the athletes who deserve recognition.
What excites me most about my role is the opportunity to connect with the people who make Vegas sports special. I know every coach, parent, and booster by name, and I take pride in being a connector who bridges gaps between athletes, programs, and opportunities. Whether I’m rocking my trademark Nike Dunks, juggling media passes, or predicting commitments in my "Commitment Bingo" series, I’m all in for the 702.
I’m thrilled to use my platform to advocate for local athletes, challenge dismissive narratives from coast-based scouts, and push for UNLV to recruit Vegas harder than any other program. This isn’t just a job—it’s a mission to keep the 702 home and ensure our athletes get the recognition they deserve.
